RE: UCONN Spring Game Online
Our starting D looks ferocious...but I don't like our depth on D this year.

The lines are pretty strong....receivers have improved, and we have RB's that can carry the rock. Wylie does need better field vision, though.

Our punter did not do much to impress today, but did manage to kick a field goal. Our regular FG kicker went for 1-2 on the day.

Our walk-on QB from California outplayed both main scholarship quarterbacks and is apparently ahead of a redshirt freshman QB, Casey Turner. Frazer played fairly poorly today, while Endres was acceptable but hesitated on his delivery too much.

Tight ends are actually better than last year, which is a surprise.

DT's are really, really good for once. There will be a drop-off at DE, however.

UConn can win 7 or 8 games with this roster.

RE: UCONN Spring Game Online
I feel pretty good about the team after the Spring game. The defense will be solid if not as or more talented than last year which is saying a lot. This could be one of the top defensive units in the BE. There is a lot of NFL type talent on the defense side. The QBs looked decent and couple of WRs are better. QB competition between Endres and Frazer is close, but our FR QB McEntee looked better than both. McEntee is a walk on while Frazer was a former 5 star recruit and Endres was a 2 star recruit. Frazer did not blew anyone away. It is good to know if he is hurt, our QB play won't drop off too much but neither was spectacular other than our walk-on QB.

The new offense will be better than the one we had last year. This is definitely a bowl bound team. Edsall has done a great job recruiting depth across all positions. I hope they can solve the WR issue this year. OL will be pretty good with some depth.

It is interesting listening to Edsall during the 1st half. He noticed everything that was on the field. Maybe that's the reason he is such a good coach.

We still got couple of hot FLA WRs that might contribute this year. Our running game should be pretty good this year.

BTW, 7,000 to 8,000 attended the spring game.
