According to Lunardi, the Big East will get 8 teams into the tournament next season. These teams and their respective seeds are:

Marquette - 12 seed
Villanova - 2 seed
Syracuse - 1 seed
UConn - 7 Seed
Georgetown - 9 seed
WVU - 2 seed
Pittsburgh - 8 seed
Louisville - 2 seed

Personally, I think UConn is seeded too low and that Louisville is seeded too high. They'll both end up around a three to a five seed IMO. Based on who they lose and they amount of talent they lose, I think either Pitt and/or Marquette will be bumped out of the tournament by a team like Cincinnati or Seton Hall.

With 3 of our stars declaring for the NBA draft, I think that SU will be a 5-7 seed.

As to my knowledge, none of them have signed agents as of yet (though I read this Syracuse bloghttp://blog.syracuse.com/orange-segment/2009/04/jonny_flynn_has_not_signed_wit.html that said Flynn is probably gone). I think Harris and Devendorf will be back because neither will be a high pick. Flynn is 50/50 IMO but Cuse fans probably know a lot more about that situation than I do.

Memphis a 5 seed? Do they even have enough players to field a team? Joe is losing it.

UCONN won't finish the season as a 7th seed LOL. They got an experienced core of guards coming back.

Harris and Devo should go back to school.

They should get in touch with a player now playing overseas, if they decide to take that route themselves. Joe Herber has offered to assist Alex Ruoff, if he decides to head overseas, as has D'or Fischer, who can tell him about negatives...

I'm sure Syracuse has an alum somewhere over there that can help. If not, they can always talk to other players they've played against in BEast play. All the info they need should be available in time for them to make an informed decision...

As far as any bracketology at this point... It's opinion, and as such has no relevance in the real world... 07-coffee3

If Taggart comes back, then we should be fine. If not, then our inside game will become slim to none

Interesting. I love how they predict these things 9-10 months before the season starts.

Taggart just declared for the NBA. He will be lucky if he is drafted. He should go back to school to improve his game.

UCONN's team next team will be loaded. There is a lot of talent to replace the ones that are leaving.

He declared for the draft a week ago. He won't be drafted...period. He has stated that he will come back if it is clear he wont be drafted and has made comments since he has declared pointing at a senior year. If that happens, U of M wins CUSA again next year and is a boderline top 25 team even if no one is recruited in. If we get some type of combination of Lataveious Williams, Eric Bledsoe, Will Coleman, Ferrakhon Hall, or any of the Chipola guys, then we could once again be a top 10-15 team. COULD not will.

Then we get to rape and pillage the awesome 2010 class coming out of Memphis...Joe Jackson, Tariq Black, etc. Memphis will be fine.

Too bad Thabeet didnt come back. You guys could've been the UNC of next year. You should still be a favorite for the NC however.
