One more year of his ineptitude and Jurich will kick him out. Any ideas as to who he might favor as the replacement?

Cheers,
Neil

Neil,
Back in early March I had lunch with a couple of boosters who have contacted Tommy Tuberville on UofL's behalf. There is an agreement in place in principle that Tuberville will be available to interview with UofL this fall. Louisville wants first shot at Tuberville who expects to be a hot commodity this fall. This is what I expect to come to pass. I posted this back in March in the Louisville and the thread was promptly locked on the Louisville board.

[quote]Honestly my biggest fear is Kragthorpe finishes 7-5 or 6-6 and we limp into some minor bowl and he hangs on for another year.

Cuse fans have experienced your fears with Gerg.

But I would love to see Tuberville at the Ville. He would be such a great fit that even his name Tuber-Ville fits well at The Ville. I hope it happens.

Unlike Gerg, this guy really believes in hitting the weight room. He really believes in the strength and conditioning aspect of the game. I cant believe that Gerg placed little emphasis on this part of the game. We learned this in an article that was released today on the Cuse Scout board. This would explain how our kids would lose so many games in the late 3rd or 4th quarters, because they were worn out.

One of the best things about Kelly is his strength and conditioning coach. CMU fans were almost more upset about losing him than they were about losing Kelly. It is hard to believe any coach would overlook that aspect of preparing players.
Hopefully he is your version of Kelly in all aspects. Your fanbase needs a guy who can energize them after the last few years.

It looks like Marrone is a tough disciplinarian. I think he will do well but it is going to take time. I would be happy with a 5-7 record next year but it is more probably a 3 or 4 win season. The talent is just not there. There are a bunch of really good coaches but they can only do so much. The kicking game is in a shambles so I have no idea who is going to be the kicker. This alone makes a big difference in the outcome of the game. He will be a good recruiter though and the coaches he has hired are also good recruiters.
