DB.................Mexico City sits on a giant aquifer that is drying up. Mexico City is sinking. When that water goes away there's nothing occupying the space where it once was. Hence, it sinks. Kind of like the sink holes you find in Florida where the water table is about 3 feet below ground.

You're discussing anything possible but how stupid you look with that statement.

I especially like your "If you've ever been to this area" statement, like it gives you more credibility. ROTFLMAO!!!

You're a former accounting major who turned IT. So that makes you an expert on geology?

If you've been to the area what you saw was the same stuff I saw. NOTHING. It's barren wasteland. It's roughly the same area they used to test nukes in. Why? BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING THERE!!!!

This is a NIMBY issue and you've bought it hook line and sinker. But hey, it ain't going to happen, so it's pointless. Politics won the day in Nevada. But the day will come when people realize that there are stockpiles of nuclear waste stored virtually in their own backyard, and then the feds will say go to hell with the NIMBY's in Nevada, and it will end up being trucked there anyway.

Wrong, once again, nothing new here, bonehead. BTW, I never said I was an expert on geology, but I don't pop off on subjects where I'm as clueless as you do. You're unreal.

Again, you're ignorant. You sure didn't see an aquifer, did you smart guy?

Now you're just sniveling like a beyoatch that didn't get his way. The day will come when smart people will realize that you can't just lock that stuff up, ignore it and hope for the best.

You're a elementary school teacher with the easiest major to get in college, what makes you an expert on Nuclear Power?

That's just it. You claim expertise, and when it's challenged you pee your pants, because you can't believe someone would disagree with you. You have no more expertise (less when it comes to politics) than I do, yet you want to have the crown credibility placed on your melon for the simple reason that you said it? Never mind what you say often doesn't stand up to scrutiny, that's not as important as the fact that DB said it.

#1 Are you so gullible that you believe it will be stored at Yucca and not be monitored?

#2 Are you such a fatalist that you can't imagine future technologies improving on the storage at Yucca?

#3 So far those smart people you speak of have no answers other than to store it in casks at the sites of the nuclear plants, many of which are near large population centers. Apparently those smart folks like that risk better than a mountain in the middle of nowhere.

Another example of what you consider debate..............

I simply pointed out that you had no more background in this than I. You want to get mean about it, that's fine. I'm quite comfortable in my profession, and my capacity to do it.

You simply tried to point out that I had no background to participate in the discussion in an attempt to invalidate my points. Nice try.
