Congrats Lady Cards
1st Final Four in school history. Boys could not get it done but the ladies did.

It was good they slapped the silly Turds in the process. The funny thing is those ESPN ladies actually thought Turds have a chance to run with UCONN.

RE: Congrats Lady Cards
Yes, Congrats to the Lady Cards. Byrd was simply magnificent in that game and Angel was Angel.

I loved how the announcers kept up with the Maryland hype all through the game and about how nobody picked the Cards.

Then towards the end, they must have gotten a note to remind them that Rebecca Lobo picked them. 03-wink

Looks like the Big East is starting to develop some consistent programs to support UConn - Rutgers, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Pitt.

Cheers,
Neil

Very impressive performance by the Lady Cards. They will likely have a formidable matchup against Oklahoma. I think they have a shot there, which would give them 2nd place this year!

CC is correct. Everyone else is playing for second place. No one is going to beat UConn. I have mixed feelings about getting past Oklahoma or Purdue and meeting UConn for all the marbles. Is a national champion runner-up banner worth getting waxed by UConn a third time in a season?

RE: Congrats Lady Cards
Give UCONN ladies some due. It is not easy to get up and beat the snot out of the opponent game in and game out. They only won by 19 today.

Ladies got Stanford next. That team beat UCONN last year in the final 4.

UCONN is the only team with both men and women teams in the final 4! Would be amazing if somehow they can repeat 2004.
