Record NCAA tourney...
Big East now holds the following records for a single NCAA tourney:

Most #1 seeds - 3
Most Sweet 16 teams - 5
Most Elite 8 teams - 4
Most NCAA units earned - 22 (though really 23 and possibly more, since the league will earn at the very least one more no matter who wins between Nova and Pitt and we don't know yet how UConn and UL will do this weekend).

Records the league could still break or tie:

Overall conference record 18-5 in the tourney (held by the 1985 Big East). The Big East is currently 15-3 and with Nova/Pitt tomorrow will at least be 16-4.

Most Final Four teams - 3 (held by the 1985 Big East).

Records we were unable to break or tie in this tourney:

Most Round of 32 teams - 7 (held by 2008 Big East).
Most total bids - 8 (held by the 2006 and 2008 Big East).

Cheers,
Neil
