Bruins @ Evansville
Wed @ 7pm. Collegeinsider.com tournament

I realize it's not the NCAA or NIT, however, we are still playing basketball and it's at least "reasonably" close. 2.5 hrs or so.

Evansville looks like a good team and is a game we should be able to compete in pretty well. They finished 5th in The Valley regular season. They do have the leading scorer in The Valley in Shy Ely a 6'4" combo guard. They have not played in the post season since 1999 so they will likely be pretty excited to play. Their coach is in his second year and seems to have them on the rise.

The Collegeinsider.com tourny will setup 2nd round games based on how the first round games play out, similar to the old NIT. The championship game will be played on a home court and will be televised somewhere on FOX College Sports. I don't think I've seen that on the cable selection in Nashville.

Bruins dominated this game, 92-76... hitting 17-35 from 3's definitely helps. Since the CIT reseeds after every game, this might give Belmont a chance at another home game.

There's one more game tomorrow night in the first round. Probably hear then, but my guess Bradley or Liberty on Monday night. Could be Citidel or ODU too I suppose. I'd be really surprised if we get a home game in this tourny. Simply don't have the attendance which is what drives hosting games in this format.

It seemed like E'ville underestimated us early and then it was too late. Still great to win a post season game and have a 4th 20 win season in a row. Dansby got his 1000 pt which is really good for him.
