Here is my email:
ETSU Players, Coaches, and Staff…

I still believe!
I still believe in each and every one of you!
I still believe that our coaching staff is prepared to help guide our team to victory!
I still believe that you are the best team in the Atlantic Sun!
I still believe that our players are some of the most gifted student athletes in the NCAA!
I still believe that we will beat Kennesaw State!
I still believe that we will beat Mercer!
I still believe that we will win the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament!
I still believe there will be dancing in March for ETSU Basketball!
I still believe that we will be a force in the NCAA Tournament!
I still believe that I’m not the only fan who still believes!
I still believe that this season is the season!
I still believe we will be hanging up a banner in the dome!!!

Gold and ETSUFan, those emails were intense...I could run through a wall after hearing that!

Has anyone considered calling Bill Meade's show today after 3pm and trying to drum up some more email support? A simple call to Bill to explain our cause and giving out the email address could do along way. I would do it myself, but alas I have to work.

I think we have close to twenty known emails so far.....we can do better than this

There is no time more dire than now for ETSU fans to stand behind our team. We are fans! We are supporters! We are the ones who believe no matter what! Please send out your emails! Please be there tomorrow night, Saturday evening, and all next week at the ASun!

I like this chant idea better than "CP CP CP" which could easily turn into a muffled mess.

Question is how to get it organized, I know places like Duke and Mich St put fliers out on their seats to get chants and things organized. May be overkill to do that, but we could always hand out fliers at the door, of course we would probably need administration help on this at some level.

2002 said he was on it but I don't know what he meant by that really

We have contacted the administration and they have supported the idea. There will be some organization behind the chants tomorrow night, from the beginning of the game and throughout. If this can't show CP and the rest of the team that we are behind them, I don't know if anything will.

One other thing, though, hopefully the intensity of those first moments won't fade. The goal here is to stay on top of Kennesaw from the tip and don't let up. Just like the Belmont 30-point drubbing.

Talked with Sara Hacker in Promotions and Kevin Bostian in Marketing. Even Dave Mullins has signed off on it. He's aware of this e-mail campaign and was very supportive of it all. He was very appreciative. I also know that the e-mails are in the hands of Bartow and the staff. They too were really appreciative and supportive of our efforts.

There will be flyers in the student section to initiate the chants at the start of the game and when CP hits the floor. It's the hope that then the regular crowd will join in. You may have seen the hand-painted banners in the Dome throughout the year that usually promote the game's "theme." There will be some of these directly speaking to CP and the team as well.

Any other ideas from the board? They are listening and happy to see everyone coming together behind the team. This is the way it should be guys and they know it. They appreciate it.

Wow this sounds big. I hope it all works out....and I hope people actually show up for the game. It could be a very dismal crowd given our recent struggles.

We need to keep the emails going! Anyone who hasnt sent one yet, please do.

This is a great idea...thanks Goldfinger.. I remember Alvin and Major would both lose their 3 point shot at times..but, they were great shooters and would usually get back in the groove at tournament time..
And CP is much more talented than those guys were..and since the regular season championship is out, I expect him to relax and have some fun and get back to playing his game...
I remember the Marty, Marty, Marty chant that would break out whenever he made a big play.. I have been down lately because I have
seen the potential of this team.. BUT THE TRUE FANS ARE THERE BEHIND THE TEAM IN THE TOUGH TIMES AS WELL AS THE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
Lets all be there for the rest of the season..Let's get to 20 wins and then go get a championship in Nashville.. GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's face it.......This is what makes us ETSU! This is why we are a cut above the other A-sun programs. They can cut our football and put us in a cellar but we refuse to quit. I almost feel dirty having Mullins allegedly supporting this. But we will deal with him later. Right now it's about winning the tournament.

We are at 25 e-mails and counting, according to the basketball office. I will be getting access to the flyer that will be in the seats tonight a little later. I will post it here when I get it.
