In fact, it counts equally. I'm done with you for now though, as it's no use going back and forth as many of us do on the board with you.

Its cool. I back up my comments with information. It is one thing to just jump to conclusion, but it is another if you can bring facts and data to the table.

UL is one of the top teams in the country, but it is not the top team in the BE this year.

The same can be said about UConn, they are one of the best teams in the country but not the best in the BIG EAST this year.

Maybe so, but UCONN still is better than UL.

Maybe and maybe not, you could say Louisville is better then Pitt and Georgetown two teams that UConn could not beat @ home but we did. 05-stirthepot

It is as simple as this, if Louisville goes 16-2 in the toughest league in the country and win the title outright AND they played EVERY league team then by all rights they are the Champion and the best team in BIG EAST play. The same would go for UConn or Pitt if they win the BIG EAST crown.

Tie Breakers
Louisville owns a tie-breaker over Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh owns a tie-breaker over Connecticut (one game left to be played)
Connecticut owns a tie-breaker over Louisville
Marquette has not played the other top three teams.

I think an even tougher question will be: How is going to win the Big East Tournament...as ANYTHING and EVERYTHING can happen when games are played on back-to-back-to-back (and back-to-back) days.

Your body of work says otherwise. UCONN already beat you guys badly at home. We got a rematch with Pitt. If Pitt wins, then they are better than UCONN. The BE refs will have a lot to say how that game will turn out. We will decide it on the court. UCONN, btw, could make a deeper run than Pitt like they always do. The championship I care about is the NCAA one. UCONN already has won multiple BE regular and BET championships.

Anyone who tries to claim GTOWN is better than UCONN needs to get his/her head examined. GTOWN just had one of those days.

Further, look at body of work for both teams against the top 50.

1. Don't EVER use the ref excuse. It is lame.

2. Georgetown beat you at home by double digits. U said Gtown had one of those nights. Hell UofL could say the same but we will not. As Bill Parcells would say you are what your record says you are. If we win out and you lose once again to Pitt at Pitt which is very likely then we are BIG EAST Champs.

3. We were going to Final Fours and winning National titles while you were still at the bottom of the league.

IS that why everytime after an UCONN win, all I see are threads from bunch of UL fans claiming UCONN got all the calls? Do you read your own board? There are serious morons there. Yeah I do agree big part of your fanbase is as lame as it gets. Some of them are still bitching about the Larry Taylor call to this day.

Sorry. You got your ass kicked at home. Sure GTOWN might be better than UCONN because they beat UCONN, but I doubt you gonna find too many people agreeing with you.

3. We were going to Final Fours and winning National titles while you were still at the bottom of the league.

Why don't you go back to the 80s then. Last few decades belong to UCONN. You guys want some respect? How about win the BE title for a change instead of thumping your chest about 30 years ago? Some of us aren't even old enough to remember that.

BTW, if you can't accept the fact you are not the best team in the conference, you are just a homer who can't face reality. If you win both the regular season and the BET, then you are the champion.

Pot meet Kettle. You are what your record says you are. If UofL wins out which is going to be tough and finishes with the best league record @ 16-2 then guess what for the regular season we would be the best team and regular season champs. Our "body of work" would be to have the best record in the toughest basketball league in the nation not withstanding two bad nights.

BTW, for the last 3 years we have been the most consistant team in the league and we have by far the best road record of any BIG EAST team. No spin just fact.

Man it is going to be hard enough to win there especially with the Gameday crew with Dickie V on WVU Senior Night. I expect a good old fashion BIG EAST war.

This thread has some hilarious posts in it given how the Big East season and tournament ended and how the NCAAs have gone thus far.

Big East Regular Season Champions - Check
Big East Tournament Champions - Check
Elite Eight (possibly more?) - Check

So, are we in the same league as UConn and Pitt now or are we still relegated to being "not one of the top teams in the Big East". LOL 03-lmfao

1. Congrats on making it to the Final Four and hopefully we will see you next Saturday in the Motor City.

2. I guess we proved our point, we are the BIG EAST Champions and hopefully by next Monday the National Champions as well. As of right now we are the Number 1 team in the country and had the biggest blowout in the Sweet Sixteen in over 40 years.

If you get past MSU and beat UCONN, you are the BE champ. That being said, my money is on the Huskies even without Dyson.

As for UL07 - I hope you did not bet your house on Memphis LOL. Yeah don't think I forgot about that with you picking Memphis to the Final 4. Nice pick there.

Get there first before you crow. Since B12 is also good this year, UCONN just took out two of their top teams. You are playing MSU from the weak B10 so it should be easy. UCONN has took out both B10 and B12 tournament winners. What is it with you guys, how do you manage to get the easiest path to everything?

BTW, it was a nice win against an over matched Arizona, but Zona is no UCONN LOL.
