Time out.
Mincy had a great game and is playing really well right now.

However, if KSU is trailing in a game with two minutes left, the coach had better be taking a timeout to get him out of the game. Just like he should do what he can to get him on the court for defense.

-Mincy's performance was the best individual performance I have seen at the MACC in the last 7 years. :ncaabbs:

-I certainly do not expect a performance from Jordan like this again but we may have found some help for a struggling Fisher.

-I do think we are finally buying into Geno's defensive philosophy. While still allowing too many bunnies, we have made great strides since the Cleveland State debacle. We are actually helping on defense.

-I was unimpressed with Tillman tonight. Our D had something to do with his poor play. He is a big player but cannot create his own shot. Who IS going to be the MAC player of the Year ?

-This OU team is not the Tim O'sham undisciplined crew we have had the pleasure of beating through the years but seemed to be sleepwalking through the second half or tired.

-Holy Crap !!! We currently hold the #4 seed.

-Does anyone think we are a better team with Fisher on the bench ? Pass the ball a little !

yeah he might not do it again but he has helped fisher who is struggling, and if he can be a threat he can take attention away from fisher which is to me all fisher needs because he cant do it by himself one on one on this level!

As i said in a an earlier thread we have the best chance of winning the Mac this year with our toughest game being behind us. I knew we were not going to get swept by ohio and lose at home and we have the remaining our toughest games at home with the exception of the miami game if we win that game i think we will win a number one seed.... buff has us akron miami and ohio one after the other thats a really tough stretch.

Yeah we are better with Fisher on the bench if jordan shoots 9/10 every night and average 27 the rest of the season. you guys flip flop too much! i have been defending you guys from hanging jordan all year now after one good(great)game you are hinting at throwing Al under the bus

Tilman had a double double if one of our bigs had a game like that we would be satisfied he just needs consistent help i think he is a good player and deserves player of the year thus far.

To put Mincy's 27 points last night onto perspective…
• In the 1st 19 games this season, he had 36 points – in the last 7, he had 74;
• Last year, he scored 77;
• In 2006-07, he scored 103;
• In 2005-06, he scored 58
He scored 8 percent of his career points last night!
...not a comment, just some numbers to consider.

That's just how some star players can be, while he didn't dominate at all, at the end of the night his numbers were right on with his averages. I'd rather allow him his numbers quietly like last night then have him take over a game.

Our team has been better with Mincy on the floor for 4 years. His point production of late is just icing on the cake and an attention getter for lay fans. Jordan has been, and is, the epitome of the KSU tradition. Way to show the stat keeper fans that you deserve your due, Jordan. To us who know the game, you have always added 150 points to the team IQ.

GFlash88-I think it is unfair that you categorize your fellow fans as people who don't like Jordan Mincy. I don't think you could find two people that have watched a Kent State game and not known the immense impact that Mincy has has on the team.
I have been critical at times and last night's performance, actually the past few games, have me eating crow and I don't mind. Hopefully he continues his roll and ends up his career on a high note.

I'll be honest and admit i was vocal that Mincy was better for 10-18 minutes a game rather than the minutes he's getting now. His intensity scares some of these soft MAC teams and completely disrupts their flow. I was wrong and this is the best crow i've ever tasted.02-13-banana

I'll be honest too admit what ksu315 just said. I figured Tyree Evans could play more since he still plays good defense. I forgot that being a senior changes your perspectives on things and you can feel the sense of urgency.

What a game by Mincy. He has always been my favorite player because he just does what the teams needs him to do and does not fill up the stat sheet. This was a great game to watch and I am really happy Jordan had this game his senior year. Let's keep this up KENT!
