I'm in. I don't know if many people on here to 5k events, but I'm becoming more of a regular at them. I did races 7 1/2 last year (one race started at 11:45pm on December 31st). My goal is to do one race a month until the end of the year, starting in April. I took a couple of months off due to tendonitis and started back running last week. I've been running 1.5 miles every other day and plan on increasing that soon and will be up to 5k by the end of April. Might want to post this on the main board to get more attention.

My wife and I ran for the first time. It was a blast. For future reference, any engineering grads can run for free as the Engineering dept will sponsor you.

I liked that run last year, but unfortunately, it fell on my work week this year. All was not lost, I decided to do a 5k Saturday morning from around my hometown and posted my best time ever (22:18).
