RE: Bearcats in eighth place?
Here are the current Big East Standings on Thursday AM, Feb 5th:

1) Marquette 9-0
2) Connecticut 10-1
3) Louisville 8-1
4) Pittsburgh 7-2
5) Villanova 6-3
6) Syracuse 6-4
6) Providence 6-4
8) Cincinnati 5-5
9) West Virginia 4-5
10) Georgetown 4-6
11) St. John's 3-6
12) Notre Dame 3-7
13) Seton Hall 2-6
14) South Florida 2-7
15) Rutgers 1-9
16) DePaul 0-10

NOTE: Some teams have only played 8 conf games (Seton Hall), others just 9...while UCONN has already played 11.

Look for more shake-up when teams play more conf games.

PS. If the Big East 8th place team at the end of the regular season has a losing conf record, do you think they would still make it into the NCAA's?

Can't wait for the UC-WVU game in Cincy. First game back at the Shoe for Huggs. Hopefully both teams will be playing well and winning so the game has some significance to it. Moreover hopefully Nancy Zimpher will not be the Prez of UC anymore.

I keep forgetting about Providence. I just hope the Mountaineers don't forget 'em. That's our next game...

We will beat WVU. Teams with really good guards will beat us and WVU doesn't have that. Gates will kill Butler and UC will win.

I don't know if it's completely true that good guards will beat us anymore. UC's guards have been playing extremely well. People kept saying that West Virginia was going to be a huge challenge for UC, but it's the other way around now. West Virginia is going to be up against it when they come to the Shoe! With Providence and Syracuse losing UC is now tied for 6th place in the Big East! Providence's RPI is dipping big time.
