Why would they? The next highest bowl pays out over 3x as much?

Do you know if the SEC gets 300k? I know the BE does but I thought the SEC selection got more.

If they want a higher pick, they might. There was an article not too long ago that talked about the 'possibility'. Of course, that doesn't mean it WILL happen but the folks at the Pizza bowl know the score, they need to up the ante to get a better shot at getting a SEC Team.

The SEC does get more than 300k. But I think the chances of getting a better SEC selection depends on wether they build a new stadium in Bham.

Papa John's is gonna have to pay BE more if they want to keep them.
you have to figure GMAC would give BE 500,000 to pair up with ACC

I think the Papa johns payout will go up with SEC in it.. Independence pays 1.1 mil I think.. so for papa to just jump to #8 which could be possible payouts would have to go to 1.25 to 1.5 mil. Gmac would be a possible for BE.. though I am not sure, they for what ever reason seem to have adopted the MAC.

It is kinda strange GMAC has adopted MAC, At this point I'm not sure GMAC is using MAC as negaiting ploy, especially with C-USA.

I hear you, but does that make sence. I can't believe ACC would not more of marque conf.
GMAC is sending feelers out to SEC, money right B-12 & B-10 would take that game.
BE would take that game for 500,000. C-USA & SB are in thier back yard.
it just does not make sence.
Don't get me wrong, Love to see MAC hold onto game.

One Thing the Mac can offer that cusa can't is its #1 pick to the gmac. It will be interesting to see what kind pick the acc is willing to Provide, it may be a #6 with an increased payout.

The Mac is also considered for the new bowl game in Orlando but I don't know if their is any value to a tie in with that when the Mac can pick up better bowls at large

That can't be providing a lot of $$ right now with car sales as bad as they are.
