For developing Darnell Stapleton into a fine football player. He replaced a good guard in Marvell Smith. In 12 starts he only had 1 holding call against him and 5 foul starts. He could end up being a good to great one.

Its amazing thing though. These guys coming out of college were no where to be found on every stock draft yet RU fans KNEW they could play in the NFL. Darnell is just one of many. Another one happens to be Eric Foster. He was the heart of our best defense in 06 and an absolute killer play maker. On his way to the draft guys like McShay said he won't make it in the next level because he's too short. He goes FA to the colts and ends up as a starting Dlineman his rookie year. Gary Bracket Captain of the colts D was also a free agent. Sean O'Hara captain of the New York Giants.....also a free agent. Also I'm glad to see Darnell in the superbowl. If the steelers win that will be 3 RU players that have superbowl rings the past three years. 2 of them being captains of their respective teams.

Wasn't being sarcastic TigerPaul. He played alot better than I thought he was going to play and has gotten better as the season went along. If somebody would've told me after the Philly game the Steelers offensive line would be good and even solid at times I would've laughed in their faces. I guess the joke is on me. Stapleton has been a low risk high reward type player and so far I think he could end up having great seasons. I think in the off season he needs to put on some pounds. Thats the big diff between college and NFL lineman. In college your expected to be more athletic and in the pros you need to be bigger.
