CUSE playing itself out of tournament
The Cuse has had some nice OOC wins over Memphis, Florida and Kansas and maybe you can count a terrible Virginia team as a good OOC win but league play has amounted to really beating only Notre Dame. The loss to Providence boosts Providence's chances of making the dance but deminishes the Cuse.
With WVU coming up followed by UCONN, Vill and Georgetown again- this could get real ugly.
Cuse should not have lost to Louisville. The Providence loss is just a disaster. WVU won't be any easier than Providence. Its time to start winning some games-- but I think the team understands this.

SU should have beaten PC. Howver Providence is a better team then most on here give them credit for. They are inconsistent but do show some talent and promise. They were winning at Georgetown and had Marquette on the ropes but werent able to seal the deal. Both those games could have easily gone in PC's favor. Of course there's still alot of games left and we'll see if PC comes thru with a few more big wins. If they do, than a loss by SU to them isnt as bad as some may think.

It's simple fact that good teams are going to have losing streaks like this. Look at Georgetown...they're a good team but got beat by Seton Hall and Cincinatti. The Big East is just so tough, there's really not a night off like the other conferences have. No reason to get too worried. There were some injuries and 'Cuse will bounce back.

However...if they miss the tourney again, s*it will hit the fan in terms of a split b/c Boeheim will go insane.

Whether or not Syracuse should have lost to Louisville is academic at this point. They did. Then they let it carry over to the Providence game. The Orange can forget about winning The BEast in the regular season this year. But if they don't snap out of their slide, they could end up on the bubble wondering...

The only way SU ends up on the bubble is if injuries continue to plague us. With all of those top 25 ooc wins, something that SU did not have the past 3 or 4 seasons, this team just wont end up on the bubble, unless injuries remain a concern. The only other BE team that has as many good ooc top 25 wins is Uconn. If the team is healthy, I see the Orange going at best 7-2 in the remaining BE regular season and at worst 5-4. That is if we can get healthy, which seems likely at this point. We only had 2 regular starters to start the Providence game because everyone else were hurting. But Onuaku and Rautins both will be ready to play on Wed, just in time for a visit from the Mountaineers.05-mafia

People forget that PC has 8 seniors, I believe. Experienced teams are tough, especially at home. They are 6-2 in the conference. Plus, Keno's system is a little unusual. Its not a bad loss.

BTW, someone is going to lose to USF at their place too. They have improved a lot over the season. Still too young to win on the road, but at home, they will pull off an upset.

They'd better be ready. Huggy's getting those Mountaineer freshmen to play better every day. It ain't going to be a walk in the park... 05-mafia
