RE: NEW PLAYER?
E) DUI
He just wasn't an important part of the team (I'm only joking)

Probably the most common reason on every team is that you repeatedly don't do what the coach wants you to do. A team can absolutely not tolerate that kind of player, even if he's a boy scout, says please and thank you, yes sir, no m'am and has a 4.00 (or 4.50) GPA.
I don't buy that one. By the time you're in the middle of your sr year you know what you have as far as attitude and listening to the coaches. Plus with the APR and potential negative impact on future schollies schools will want to ensure kids stay and graduate. He has a much higher likelihood not hurting us from an APR standpoint on the team. Plus its not like we were the perfect team where he couldnt have contributed in some capacity.

I for one really like Greene, he always seems to around the ball when it comes to rebounding, something this team needs, and he likes to mix it up underneath. His footwork on offense could use some work, but he is only a freshmen so Sendy will get that straightened out. He looks very coachable and seems to have a good attitude.

I have close knowledge of the situation, but believe strongly that it is not my place to share the information. That is up to the player, the coaches, or Laing Kennedy (or Dave or Steve if the coaches, university, etc. shares). All I'm willing to say is that the situation had nothing to do with academics or breaking any laws (or anything close to those areas). The only reason I share this much is that I believe in this case speculation in negative areas is not fair to Rashad or the program given they were not involved.

When I posted much earlier about wanting some more freshman, I'd forgotten about the junior from Cincinnati. As previously stated, Holt is a good recruit and so is Johnson, if he qualifies. So, that is a good start. Greene looks promising. I think the ideal would be having quality freshman recruits as the base, with a few JUCO's and transfers being the icing on the cake. So, with Greene (who knows about Grimsley?) this year, Holt, and maybe Johnson, next, and the Cincinnati recruit the year after that, it is a promising start.
I agree with you completely. I think it is a promising start.
I honestly don't understand how you all can say Greene looks promising. he is worst then BP as a frshmen he is 6'7'' slow, not athletic not tryin to be cruel to him but its just how i feel. i don't see us being good if he has to play more then 10 minutes a game.
Could not disagree MORE. He is now getting meaningful minutes. He is a character kid and I like that. He is deceptively handy around the basket. He will be in the weight room during off season and will at some time add 25 pounds of muscle. This is the way you build a successful program at the mid major level. He will mostly likely be 6'8" in several years. Get used to him, for he is in our long term plans. And, better yet, we will win with him. He has the attitude and he is coachable. Need I say more, over and out.

Maybe im wrong guys. I hope that i am, but i really don't see it. what i see is similiar to the type of player julian is,he has saavy, and basketball IQ but he can only be so sucessul with his short comings. I think if he puts on weight in the weight room he still will be slow, and have bad feet, and an easy player to exploit. Most players with his athletic abilities is good shooters like Kevin Warzinski. With all of that said i would love for this kid to prove me wrong, but i doubt it. i think he will be recruited over and barely play. thats how i feel i kind of feel bad saying it!

Well, Bill Livingston of the PD said on more than one occasion that he looked like a boxer. He almost looks TOO pumped up there.

RE: NEW PLAYER?
Even if he is only as good as Sullinger he can turn into a solid big of the bench for 12-15 minutes a game (maybe 20 when someone is in foul trouble). That's not all bad.

Woods had a bad attitude. Everyone could see that. You can't have a guy like that on your team and now KSU doesn't.

Someone snuck in on me. I was talking about Greene not Woods. I agree on Woods. Good riddence.
