Good news Mountaineer fans...
Good news Mountaineer fans...
Philadelphia DL Chris Palmer (6'4" 290) has enrolled at WVU for the spring semester.
Palmer was a 2008 commit, who delayed enrollment while recovering from a couple of shoulder surgeries. He's added a couple of inches from last year, unless they're inflating the statistic as usual...
According to the report, WRs Logan Heastie and Deon Long are enrolling for the spring semester as well...

UPDATE: QB Eugene Smith and WR Deon Long were going to enroll for the spring semester, but they didn't graduate in time to do so. WR Logan Heastie has fulfilled his requirements, but the State of Virginia doesn't give out diplomas in the middle of the school year. Heastie's problem is an issue with paperwork, and could be resolved in time to allow him to enroll. But it's not certain.
Another early enrollee is walk-on K Cameron Starke from Boston, Va., who'll compete for WVU's vacant kicking job in the fall...

I hope we can find a good kicker.
I have the feeling that all those folks who complained about Pat Mcafee is going to wish he was still around come next season. Breaking in a new kicker can sometimes be rough.
I'm glad the recruiting seems to be going really well. Next season will be really interesting.

WVU has really loaded up on the skill positions. From WRs Logan Heastie and Deon Long to QB Eugene Smith and RB Tavon Austin. Can't wait till 2 -3 years when all these talented guys BE teams are recruiting are fighting it out for the championship

WVU has traditionally had walk-ons as kickers. WVU has 2 kickers on the roster, a punter and a place kicker. This kid is walking on, and I'm sure another kicker, or punter, or both will walk on in the fall. Several have expressed interest...
I'm not too worried...
