In Slatton's story in the this morning's paper, he said the crowd was listed as 724. I doubt that there were that many present. I've seen more people in the stands for AAU ball than were at Lakefront Arena last night. Without the large state funding that UNO used to get for athletics, it is difficult to see how they will meet the SBC's requirements to continue in the league.

I've wondered for years how UNO and FIU field a D1 basketball team with so few in attendance at their games. I've never seen more than a thousand or so at any games with those two schools.

FIU's athletic fee is like $28 an hour. ASU's was $10 and UALR's I think $12 last time I checked and FIU has around 30,000 students. They make some serious jack off that fee!
