RE: USF beats Gators for Giddins
Our DLine returns3 of 4 starters and 2 back ups and we already got on campus
Hill 6'4 301 FR 3 star that was signed by FSU last year
and we have verbals from
Giddins DE 6'4 235 4 star
Sager DE 6'4 240 3star
Stirrups DT 6'3 275 3 star JUCO
Thompson DE 6'1 245 3 star probably moves to NT when he gains more weight

and we still might add a couple of more. Our DLine will be better than ever before

W O W !

Cuban where does this rank among USF big time recruits. I know Ford was a 5 star, but he wasn't right out of HS, he originally committed to Ala, and got to USF in a roundabout way.

Tampa Trib reported he had over 70 D 1 offers, and chose USF.

Yep Ford was a 5 star but went to prep school. Giddins is the highest rated player to sign with USF straight out of HS. He is #15 player in Florida

Add to this Selvie coming back unexpectedly (like signing a 5 star recruit for another year), and incoming transfer from FSU Rose, who was a big time recruit and nearly a 5 star out of HS.

Rose was the #4 recruit in state in 2007 right behind Tebow and started at OT his freshmen year at FSU. Hell have three years of eligibility at USF and certaintly will be good addition to our OLine which is our biggest question mark for 2009

Steven Jacques

http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/vie..._key=84160

6'4" 280... 3 star, recruited by big time programs.

Most importantly, he plays at a need position. I'd put o-line as our biggest need right now.

RE: USF beats Gators for Giddins
Well this is one of the reasons that I feel better about OL since thats where we lost four starters and was a question mark.
We have some good OLineman that were redshirted, Garvin, Popek and Edwards we also have guys that played and started due to injuries Estenor,Genus, Sims and McCaskill and returning a two year starter in Herrmann
We are then getting Rose that started at FSU as a freshmen and hopefully get a JUCO

Then we will be adding: Joyer,Jacques, McGhin and Kelly

So while less experienced than last year we are getting guys with more athletic ability and depth

Congrats to USF. That is a huge pickup to get. I'm looking forward to you guys crushing the ACC (FSU and Miami) next year.

RE: USF beats Gators for Giddins
USF is returning to basics.

The Bulls have been built on defense and we are adding tons of depth along the lines and defensive backfield. USF's next commits will be at LB and possibly one more 4-star defensive end that we are a finalist.

Now if our offensive coordinator could figure how to use all the raw talent on the offensive side of the ball, the Bulls may be able finally get over the hump.

Overall, the BigEast is doing a GREAT job in recruiting.
