Welcome to the Owls Nest ... good to have another Kennesaw fan. In answer to your question, it looks as though our guys are struggling mightily right now. Just played a terrible game vs. North Florida (one of the worst games I have seen us play possibly ever...). Jacksonville will be no cupcake. They are one of the top teams in the league and we are playing like one of the worst. Momentum can change quickly in basketball, but all the signs leading up to this game are not good.

Really ugly game tonight vs. North Florida. I think the injuries and losses are weighing heavily on this young team.

So did I. Final from North Florida a brutal 66-44. Didn't watch or listen to the game, but I can only imagine what went wrong. With JU up 20+ on Mercer right now, it's looking like a very poor road trip for the Owls.

On a personal note, its a horrible night for local fans like myself. The beloved Owls lose by 22 and the Atlanta Hawks are down to the Orlando Magic right now by 44 in the 3rd.

Proof that basketball is a fickle game Escalade...that is the beauty and the pain of it I guess.

How on earth does UNF win by 22? Even if it is at their place, they are basically the worst program in the nation.

I guess injuries and losses have really beaten us up.

RE: Road Games This Weekend
We got down early in the second half by double digits through a variety of crazy plays. Loose balls, airballs that go right to them for layups, missed open shots for us. We couldn't find a rhythm all night, and it seemed like our young guards cracked a bit under the pressure of trying too hard to win the game. They played desperate basketball instead of confident basketball. When you lack senior leadership it can happen. We somehow need to transition from desperate to 'nothing to lose'. This is our last year in the grace period, we have no seniors, our guys might as well relax and play some basketball. Any win we get at this point is a feather in the cap.

Wow. What we thought could have been at least a 2 win road trip ended with 3 losses. We have lost 7 straight games. This season is getting longer by the game. Despite my disappointment, I am looking forward to seeing the owls in action at the convocation center on friday against Stetson. It'd be nice to have a nice crowd since the game will be broadcast on CSS.

Need a big crowd, and need some excitement to get our young team back on the winning track. Our guys confidence has to be shaken. Hopefully a good week of practice will get them back up to win a big conference game. Stetson is tough, so we will need to play a great game to win. Being at home has been a difference maker for us.

All we can do is keep supporting. I think most of us seen the writing on the wall before the season started. Add in our injuries and well..
