Tulsa (10-3), Rice (10-3), and Ball State(12-2) all dropped out of the top 25 in favor of putting your choice of several 4 loss BCS teams in, while 10-3 Oregon, Georgia, and Ohio State get 9, 10, 11.
I like Rice, but let all those teams play a few more BCS games and they will get to 4 and 5 loses quickly.

He was also told if he didn't adhere to the agreement that all coaches vote for the winner of the BCS title game, he would lose his vote next year. Now, not only do non-BCS teams not get to settle it on the field, they don't get to settle it in the polls, either.

You know what though, at least he had the nuts to do it. Everyone wants to whine but nonone wants to stand up. Thats what I ment in my post above. So if UAB ever gets in the situation that Utah got in ( a man can dream) let's not hear any whining about not being voted #1 because the BCS says this and the BCS says that. But people are sheep, so follow USC, Georgia, Alabama, and the like. And when the little school begs at the table for scraps, it's only the fans to blame.

If the games are home and homes, fine. I least it would be a fair opportunity.

RE: Go Sooners!!!!!!!
There are two issues here: Championship and payout.
Championship should be settled with a playoff, but that will never happen
In terms of payout, using the BCS system, a fair way of distribution of the BCS money would be to do away with the conference affiliations. There are 65 schools in the BCS conferences. Instead of those 65 schools getting a share of the BCS money, whether they earned it or not, divide it among the top 65 D1A schools in the BCS rankings.
The BCS rankings don't go to 65, so I substituted the Sagarin ratings (although I dislike Sagarin, but it will serve this purpose)
Under this system, look who gets a BCS paycheck this year
Utah
TCU
Boise State
BYU
Tulsa
Rice
Navy
Houston
ECU
Air Force
Ball State
Southern Miss
and even Troy.
And look who gets left out:
Colorado
Kansas State
Minnesota
Purdue
UCLA
Texas A&M
Louisville
Mississippi State
Michigan
Syracuse
Iowa State
Indiana
Washington
Each conference could have their own rules as for distribution, either let the earning school keep it or divide it among the other conference members. And they could even prorate the money based on where you ranked, but that would be a good start on distributing the BCS money to those deserving schools.
