Wonderful day/night for the ACC and it couldn't happen to a more deserving league.02-13-banana

This afternoon, BC fired its football coach, who was 20-8 in 2 years and in 2 ACC Championship games.01-wingedeagle

Then this evening, the Mighty Eagles, fresh off stomping UNC at the Smith Center, loses to the neighboring Ivy League Harvard Crimson in a game that wasn't as close as the final margin indicates, 12 points.03-nutkick

Then the Fightin' Turtles of Maryland, lose at HOME to the in-state "rival" Morgan State Bears--totally embarrassing!03-puke

Don't ya just love it!04-cheers

+1.

In fairness to the ACC, they did not create the kill-or-be-killed mentality that has taken over "Flagship"-level college athletics over the last 25 years or so. They saw how the game was played and they gave it their best shot. Just like the BE was giving it their best shot when they still had Miami, VT and BC. And just like the BE-leftovers were giving it their best shot when-- after Miami and the others bolted-- they peeled off several C-USA members (and maybe more to come). And just like C-USA was when they took a bite out of the WAC.
