I guess the non conference doesn't mean much because it seems the teams in the Belt always start to play better once the season begins.
But as someone else already posted, they screw around so bad in the non conference that our league RPI is so miserable that we don't normally have a chance in Hell of getting an at-large bid. Maybe the answer is bonuses for the coaches based on RPI's. We need to do something. Being in a league ranked #22 is bad enough. If we can't win it, that's even worse.

The initial report on Hicks was he was out for 8 weeks. If that's on the money he'll be back just in time for our visit to Miami at the end of January. That will make it a tough trip because with Monroe back FAU will definitely be a very difficult game and we traditionally have trouble at FIU.

Ouch! If I remember correctly, Hicks ate our lunch last year.
