RE: UCONN vs. GTOWN
All I'll say is that I really like the Mountaineers chances this season. It looks wide open...

RE: UCONN vs. GTOWN
I have watched GTOWN play for number of years. I never seen them shooting so damn well. If they keep that up, no one will beat them. Statistically speaking, they won't be able to. History said they won't.
BE is open at the top a little, but it will still be tough. UCONN will get on another winning streak. Key is teams have to win their home games. It will be interesting next few weeks. BE regular season champ will have 4-5 losses.

I assume you haven't watched them much this season.
Going into last night's game they were averaging 6.7 threes on 34% shooting. They got their usual 6 threes a game but hit them at 46% clip but take away Monroe's 2-2 and the percentage wouldn't have been as high. Thabeet just didn't bother to challenge him on those two threes.
As for their overall shooting percentage, even with the higher rate on threes and offensive rebounding put-backs that the Hoyas haven't been getting so far in the season, they were slightly down overall from their previous ten games. But that is to be expected against better competition.
The plain truth of the matter is that Georgetown came out ready to play and UConn didn't. When the Huskies got serious, they cut into that huge lead but once the Hoyas pushed it back to double digits the air went out of UConn's sails and they simply didn't fight the last ten minutes or so of that game.
Cheers,
Neil

Yes you are right. But those guys won't miss a single free throw. That was one of the keys. I think UCONN players believed in their own hypes. They won't ready at start of the game. They executed poorly down the stretch. Also, no 3 pointers in the 2nd half killed them. People were shooting poorly outside AJ Price.
For whatever reason, UCONN has lost a game after going on 11 game winning streaks. I think this is the 4th time it happened. Oh well, time to regroup. I won't want to be RU right now. They are next.

I'm hoping UConn puts off going on another winning streak until after next Sunday...
