UGA Game
Just was looking around and found this out from the UGA website. For those of us that cannot make it to the game in Athens on Wednesday, the game will be televised on CSS at 4. This excites me. I always love seeing the Owls on tv. Just FYI for anyone interested.

RE: UGA Game
Before the season started, when i thought we'd be healthy with Cummings, and Mitchell, i really thought we could win this game. Now our only hope is if our guys shoot well and play inspired, while uga takes us lightly. And i really hope Ingle doesnt try to shorten the game by holding the ball, i really hate that and it makes us worse.

RE: UGA Game
UGA is garbage. You have a great chance at beating them. If Lipscomb can beat Indiana, and Wofford can take UGA to overtime, you can win.

We have no size...that is what is going to kill us. If our frontcourt rotation was more solid I would like our chances at an upset. We are playing 2 SF's at PF and C (Whipple and JMac), a walkon in Zadrian, and Allison simply isn't ready. Mitchell apparently won't get any time either....
But at least we have experience at the guard position....errrrr...wait :) Hopefully we can pull off the miracle. Our team should improve as the season goes on. But to upset an SEC team on the road would take Tony Ingle parting the Red Sea :)

UGA is not that good and they will take us lightly.
Ingle will be in the Red Sea.

RE: UGA Game
If we were healthy i honestly think we would win. The size is going to be the factor like Kennesawbasketball said. Its not that their that much more skilled, but i can see a lot of offensive rebounds for UGA with a lot of second chance points.

RE: UGA Game
tough first half. the owls made next to nothing. they are playing good defense but are allowing too many high percentage shots (dunks). only down by 12, could be down by a whole lot more. we have a chance to compete in the second half but we have to make our shots. another thing, we are being out-rebounded. there were so many one shot times down the court. we are getting no offensive rebounds. woods has struggled, missed a lot of shots. i dont know, its a frustrating game. anyone else watching?
just a quick stat from our poor effort in the 1st half: we shot 9/36 from the floor...a whopping 25%!

Our lack of size kills us in games like these. Plain an simple. It will be better in conference, much better when Mitchell is up to speed, and a MILLION times better next year when we suit up Mitchell, Green, Heramb, JMac, Cummings, Polo, and Allison.

Yea it really did, but not as much as i thought it would. it was really our defensive lapses. We collapsed way to much on the ball and left wide open threes and easy baseline dunks.
But after watching that game and seeing our guys stay competitive for the most part, i fully believe if we had our bigs and were healthy, i really do think we would of won. Hopefully we play them next year.
