ACC can at least win some games against the weak B10. I won't be surprised if the B10 went 0-7 in bowl games this year.

It would do my heart good if that happened. A lot of Ohio State fans are still bitter that UC is in a BCS conference. Where I live there are a lot of Ohio State fans whining that Cincinnati "doesn't belong". And then the ones that have to admit that UC belongs says that we're paired with VT because they're the "weakest" BCS team and they don't want Cincinnati to get blown out. Hopefully the Big Ten gets their teeth kicked in.

If the rest of this bowl season goes as expected for the B-10, then I'll be bewildered (but not surprised) by any further arrogance in their fan bases. Still quite a few of them like to take uneducated shots at the BE.

B10 is one of the worst BCS conference this year. Every year Suckeye get overhyped only to get buttf*cked in bowl games. I don't think they gonna win this year either. I don't know why they keep talking smack. I would love to see Cincy play them this year. This year's Cincy would beat this year's OSU team.

And in regards to the O$U/Texas comment...O$U will get smacked on national TV against a REAL team....again (yawn).

Wisconsin reminded me of UConn but they are much worse than UConn is. What I never understood is that the perception of the Big 10 for years was that they was a great conference but look at their Rose Bowl record. I don't understand why they haven't been exposed years ago.

1. It is made up of large state schools that have large alumni bases and fanbases.
2. Big Ten teams travel well.
3. They bring a lot of eyes to the TV.

The Big Ten is similar to Notre Dame in many many regards. ESPN, ABC, NBC, etc know that Big Ten teams have huge fan bases and that games will draw a lot of viewers (especially if it is hyped up). ESPN, ABC, NBC, etc all have a vested interest to continue the myth of the Big Ten/Notre Dame/etc because propogating that myth keeps the advertising dollars rolling it. IMO, ESPN and the huge media deals conferences get are the two biggest reasons why we don't have critical sports journalists.

I just love bowl game smack.. bowl wins are irrevelovent.... its all about who is hungry to win and matchups.. the games mean nothing to anyone other than delusional fans. If CUSA goes 5-1 in bowls it doesnt make them better than BE if they went 4-3 or for that matter 3-4.

I guess I'll repeat myself, since it didn't seem to sink in... It's many Big Ten fans that talk smack about the BE, not me talking smack to the Big Ten, as is the way you portray me. I'm simply providing evidence that the Big Ten MIGHT be overrated.

And, damn straight Bowl games sure as hell matter. It's the ONE time of the year that top teams in major conferences can't fill their own schedules with creampuffs, and have to prove themselves vs. teams ranked on their own level. Sure, as you say, some teams are hungry, some aren't, but, to universally generalize it is just excuse-making at its finest

If people use bowl results to prove how bad the BE is (which they have for YEARS), then it's only fair game to use the same argument to show how overrated another conference is.

Once The BEast goes 6-0 in the bowls, we can talk all we want too...

You are kidding right? Bowl games are the only place where conferences can get bragging rights. Here those overhyped conferences finally get to play a decent opponent OOC vs. the usual low D-1A teams that was scheduled as auto wins during the regular season.
