Want to take mid-term guess at record?
We have played eleven games, have eight wins. We will play 29 regular season games. By this time we ought to be able to make some educated guesses at how many wins we will have. I am guessing we have 20 going into the tournament, but given that the SBC is looking no stronger than it is, we might beat that. In any case, I will be very disappointed if we don't win more games than last season.

The goal is to win the conference home games and split the road games. If that happens, that's 12.5. Call Rice a toss off (it'll help with the math), coupled with the 8 already in the bag, that's 21-8 going into the Sun Belt Tourney. That's pretty strong. And possible.

I think so. I won't get us an at-large, or course. Even 25 wins would be iffy without any highlight wins. But when a program starts putting together 20-win seasons, they gain confidence and good press for recruiting. If we pull it off, it will have been the first time since 1990.

We will win 20 going into the sbc tournament. The 3 good teams will beat up on each other. We play the 3 strong teams from the East 4 times. If we can split those games, we stand a good chance of winning the regular season in the sbc. That would mean we get the nit bid no matter what.

The goals for the year:

win 20 games
get to the finals of the sbc tournament
get to post season play one way or another

+1 . This is what this team is capable of doing given the competition. Let's see if they step up and do it. 03-banghead
