USF recruiting news
One HUGE recruit to watch.
Ryne Giddins DE he is rated the #4 DE in nation by Rivals and #15 player in Florida. Scout has him as the #12 DE in nation.
He is from the tampa area and USF has been after him for a long time. He has visited USF practices many times.
He has been offered from USC and Penn State It is down to FLORIDA or USF. He has HS teammates in Florida since Armwood is a state power in HS football.
He will announce at the Army HS ALL american game in San Antonio.
This would be the BIGGEST recruit in USF's short history and makes an inpact because he is from our area and from a HS powerhouse.
Keep your fingers crossed for the Bulls!!!!!

RE: USF recruiting news
I hope you guys get him....Another Selvie in the making? On second thought for the sake of the rest of the BE I hope you don't On a serious note though it is great to see USF going after a highly regarded recruit with the big boys. RU also landed a highly regarded DT out of florida that had offers from Florida FSU and Miami the other day. If the BE as a whole starts winning these recruiting battles against the big programs then we will have several teams down the road that can win not only BCS bowls but the granddaddy of them all.

RE: USF recruiting news
UConn, meanwhile, has a shot for a *** OT with Miami, Illinois, WVU, Rutgers, and Maryland offers...and leads for a guard with South Carolina, BC, ECU, and VT offers. We also just nabbed a tight end with BC and Iowa offers from Mass (of course, he's a two star...so he MUST suck:/) sarcasm off

RE: USF recruiting news
Well we all know that stars dont mean that the kid will be successful but it certaintly gets the attention of other recruits in area.
Yeah the kid that RU got from Miami should be a god DT for you guys. I know the Miami papers were acting surprised that he went with you guys over his other offers. I believe they said his brother plays for you guys.
Selvie was a two star TE comming out so you never know, by the way he might return for next year we will find out over the holidays.

UC won the big east with a senior class that basically held MAC offers and that was it.
Never believe the rankings... it is all about coaching.

coaching has a lot to do with it and finding those two stars that can become great players but dont foll yourself into thinking that a good coach will consistently win championships with just 2 star players.

We will find out next year. Things never remain the same. I remember when the question was, Can WV ever win a bowl game?

I remember those days too. However, those days are over for the Mountaineers. Will these days ever be over for the Bulls...

As I said we will find out next year but all "good" things come to an end. I feel very good about the Bulls future.

I feel good about the Bulls future too. USF is on the way up. I just like messin' wit' ya.
But USF is still playing catch up. WVU ain't going to make it easy...

I know. I want WV and the rest of BE to not make it easy. As we all improve it makes the rest better

RE: USF recruiting news
Hope you win one vs UF...as its always fun to see what excuse UF fans can come up with when a recruit chooses to go to another school.
Plus, it will also help take out the sting now that 4-star WR James Green just switched his commitment from USF to Tennessee.

RE: USF recruiting news
LOL.
We all knew Green was probably go with Tenn once they hired Kiffin.
In recruiting you win some and you lose some, thats ok WRs is not something that would make or break our team. we have plenty of talent there and florida always produces quality WRs yearly. We are getting a qualty WR, Theliar and there are a couple of others that will end up with the bulls.

USF is always LOADED with WR talent, so who cares if Green bolted to Tenn. That is and always will be one position that USF never has any problems stocking up on talent.

RE: USF recruiting news
LOL.
That was not what he was getting at. He saw a glimmer of good news about USf and had to join in and try to cool it down with his news.
LOL. pathetic. I really couldnt even mention who they have as commits neither do I care to know or care if they sign or lose them , but our friend here loves to keep tabs on USF and loves to post them if they are negative in any way.

The reason that Knightlight is so interested in USF's recruiting is that he is very worried about USF leaving UCF behind further. According to Scout, USF's recruiting class is ranked #40 at this time as compared to UCF at #65.
