I heard during your bowl game that USF has the smallest recruiting budget in the BCS ($500,000) do to the abundance of talent in FL and that your entire roster was comprised of FL players except for about 5.

We have expanded our recruiting to outside of florida, but thats correct most of our players are from the state of Florida so the recruiting budget doesnt have to be that large.
But being on BE, TV and ranked has gotten us attention from out of state and more players from outside of florida seem interested in comming to USF

KL hasn't said one bad thing about USF. In fact he was rooting for you to get a player over UF. All I've read for the past 4 days is Bulls fans trashing UCF on this board and the C-USA board. MLB even called you out on it the other day.

Well we will know for sure when signing day comes. But once again you seem to miss the part about complimenting USF while at the same time mentioning bad news about it.

I don't consider a recruit switching his commitment to be bad news. That's as common as a rainy afternoon in Florida.

Everybody was making a criticism about the St. Pete bowl. The city's involvement in promoting the event, the quality(or lack their of) of the facilities, the number of tickets Memphis sold, the number of tickets USF sold, the sponsors, ESPN, and the payouts. Out of all of those criticisms the USF people only saw people bashing their school. They then proceeded to bash C-USA, then UCF.

Once again if depends how you point them out. as I said I dont have a problem with Green's decommit it happens all the time to all schools. But ONCE again notice the title of this thread it was about Giddens and how big a recruit he would be to USF. There was NO NEED to bring in Green's decommit.

The bashing of USF's attendance is on ANOTHER thread but as I have said when you have UCF fans fanning the poor turn out of USF fans to that bowl while ignoring that Navy and Southern Miss took less than the 23k USF took to bowls that were 100 miles or less from their campuses, once again seem to point out a trend from some of your fans to try to bring negative news about USF to the forefront.

So lets try to stay on topic and this thread is about
RYNE Giddens and his announcement for either UF or USF and how big that would be for USF recruting in the area. If you or any of your UCF buddies wants to discusss this ISSUE you are more than welcome to it.

Ordinarily I would actually agree with KL that getting Giddens would take the perceived sting away from losing Green. IMO, the perception created by losing a 4-star kid is never good unless you can replace him with an equal or better talent. USF is still in good shape with several 4-star WRs who have legitimate interest, so in the grand scheme of things losing Green is probably not a huge deal. Plus we have a couple James Green type already on the roster so it’s not a terrible loss. IMO, what USF really needs is a pure speed merchant on the outside/slot that can catch the ball…..but then again….WHO DOESN’T?

However, this is KnoLife we are talking about, so we know his agenda….and its not about being objective. It seems like it’s his sworn duty to pollute EVERY related USF thread across the internet message board universe.

I guess if your program is embroiled in controversies regarding football players safety and welfare, a pending lawsuit for negligence in a players death and a coach who is woefully under producing despite an enormous salary……I can see why KL would rather talk about USF.
