Outstanding game for UCONN. I tuned in when they were down by 11 in the second half. Where does Calhoun find these kids?

One of the great UConn road wins of the Calhoun era.

Definitely a good win, but let's not go overboard. You were favored to win by 7.5 points.
Cheers,
Neil

Huh? The Zags were a 3 point fav in Danny Sheridan's odds.
Well, I don't think it's going overboard to say it's a great road win. The quality of the opponent, hostile arena, down by 11 midway thru the 2nd half, a late 3 to send it to OT. Not too shabby for this group of Huskies.

Yes, it was a great win and I think you are right - the Zags were favored by 3.
But you guys were also up by 11 until Thabeet got into early foul trouble and then had trouble with their zone defense - something you guys should be used to by now playing us in conference.
Anyway, I'm just razzin' on you. I was glad to see the Huskies win. I was glad to see Dyson wasn't seriously hurt and came back in to the game to play. That win, and the Cuse win, helped make up for the Cards loss earlier in the day.
Still shaking my head over Seton Hall's loss to IUPUI though.
Cheers,
Neil

Way to go, Huskies. You pulled one out of your @ss at the last minute to send it to overtime, and then you took care of business...

Great win for UCONN. AJ Price and Jerome Dyson were lights out in the end. A tough road win across the country. We had a debate whether UCONN is overrated earlier, I guess after this win we are not. That's 3 wins over top 25 competition on neutral floor.

Yep, matches Syracuse with 3 wins over Top 25 competition. And Seattle is about as neutral for the Zags as Kansas City is for the Jayhawks.

Neil

RE: Great UConn/Gonzaga game!
Great game and great win over an elite team like Gonzaga. Gonzaga may have just dropped two in a row now but I'd be hard pressed not to rank them in my top 5-6. I think both teams end up in the final four if UConn can give a consistent effort and Gonzaga keeps playing tough despite their crap league play. I came away extremely impressed with 3 players in particular. First on Gonzaga, Austin Daye...wow, that kid is a player. If he doesn't foul out idk if UConn wins that game, he's so versatile and just hit big shot after big shot. He also drew Thabeet away from the bucket which allowed Pargo and Gray to have their way driving to the inside. He's quite the match-up problem, guys gonna be good in the NBA with his length and athleticism. Jeremy Pargo also impressed me, his passing stats weren't that great (4 assits, 5 TO's) but he made some amazing passes and manages the extremely well, he had one ridiculous bounce pass hitting a guy full stride on a break, I think it was Daye. Finally, AJ Price...wow what a frickin stud. He buried some ridiculous shots to keep UConn in the game, and the buzzer beater was sick! He is a tremendous PG too, just gets everyone involved, and 10 assists with only 4 TO's, I'll take that any day against a long and well coached defense like Gonzaga. He was really able to push the floor as well. Overall, it was the best game I've watched all season, good job UConn inching out the win in a hostile environment.
