I went to UNF for my undergrad degree. I'm not sure if anyone actually goes to the basketball games, I have never been to one. They didn't do a great job advertising their sports teams while I was there. I remember in 2005 I was flipping through the TV channels and UNF's Baseball team was on TV for the Division II World Series. It was strange how none of my friends on campus had a clue that their baseball team made it that far. I would have traveled their to support the team.

I'm currently at UCF for my Masters degree but it's mostly online since I live in Jacksonville. I did go to the UCF vs USF game this year for football since I won the student lottery for a ticket. (Funny because I take one class a semester but my brother in-law is a junior taking a full course load and lost the lottery).

The Gator Fan is just growing up Jacksonville. It seems like the mentality here is you're either a dawg, nole, or gator and there are no other college sports teams besides those three. I have in-laws that have tickets so I get to go to some of the games every year. Went to the Ole Miss, South Carolina, FSU and SEC Championship this year for football this season.

I daresay injuries have taken their toll in a big way right now.

You needed to have been on the board for the last little bit. It's kind of a give and take between ETSU and KSU fans on here. That being said, injuries or not, a 22 point loss to UNF when allegedly you're moving towards being an upper tier team in the conference is a joke.

Fair enough.

It's a pretty tough loss to swallow, but I guess at this point the rest of conference play is going to be an education for a bunch of youngsters. Hopefully things can turn around and there can be some confidence gained and lessons learnt.

This is the epitome of a rebuilding year. I'm shocked by the losses piling up but injuries, red shirts and no seniors have created this environment for this season.

And let's face it, Kennesaw is a transitional D1 team. The exact same thing UNF is. KSU had overachieved early with players like Wooten. Kennesaw will make it in due time, it's just too much to ask right now for any kind of consistency.

@adamsputnik: We like to talk cause it keeps this conference interesting. Without hearing from those bumbling hillbillies from the tri-cities, I'd probably just root for UGA 100%.

If any other team had experienced the same kind of injuries that we had this year they would be experiencing the same sort of results. Senior Guard Captain out for year, Junior PF transfer from Texas Tech (also offered from MN and Wisconsin) hasn't played, 6'7" monster athlete freshman out for year, and freshman 6'10" top 20 prospect in all of Georgia forced to redshirt by the NCAA.

You put those 4 guys (who were all expected to play this year) on the bench and losses to UNF happen. We will rebound, and I am hoping that Ingle can pull off a few more miracles this year and get our players spirits back up.
