I’m not trying to alarm anybody with this — and I don’t think it’s going to be a major, major deal — but Ball State quarterback Nate Davis is sick.


Davis has come down with the flu on the day the Cardinals are playing Buffalo in the Mid-American Conference championship game at Ford Field in Detroit.


He was given a shot to help him overcome the flu symptoms he has, and he’s been resting in his room at the team’s hotel.


Everybody who knows Davis knows what a competitor and fighter he is as an athlete, and I really don’t expect this to be a big issue for the game. But it’s worth keeping an eye on as the game gets under way at 8 p.m.

To hell with Davis, the only health I'm concerned with is that sweet little Chippette in the left margin --- and she looks VERY healthy!
