How Bout the BUFFS? Is UCONN overrated?
After last night debacle between the Calhoun Huskies and the cellar dwellars from the MAC the Buffalo Buffs all you CONN fans should be embarrased to show your faces at the local supermarket...Calhoun is washed up, Gino should be coaching both the men and womens program...Coach houn is starting to lose his edge in college bball, giving bj's to the men in stripes isn't gonna earn him victories much longer...Let me hear ya you homers!!!

Urghh no... Every team is entitle to a let down here and there. Buffs played well last night but the better team won. UCONN was sleep walking almost the entire first half, but these boys will bring it when it matters. There is no denying this is one of the most talented team in the NCAA right now.
You seem to forget rather quickly the Huskies have trounced two ranked team on neutral court just a week earlier.

One bad road game (which we WON, mind you). No big whoop.
Get back to us in March and we'll see who's overrated.

Ummm Yes...you are not the #2 team in the country IMHO
Hence you are overrated. Doesn't mean you aren't Top 25.

UConn may end up being number 2 by the end of the year, it is early right now though and who knows how good anybody is. I certainly would not say Calhoun is washed up, however.

If Uconn is not #2, then who is, Pitt, Duke? As MLB said, its too early to tell. Until then, I'm going with Uconn until we find out otherwise, afterall, they did win a close game against a jacked up UB and a hostile environment. They were caught sleeping until they realized, that they could actually lose to Buffalo. The exact same thing happened to Cuse the other night against Cornell. I would like to think that NY teams are pretty good in college basketball.

Until someone takes us down, we are #2. I don't see any team comparable top down other than UNC as far as depth and talent. Stanley Robinson and Majok have not even suit up yet.

Of course you cant, because you are a Uconn fan. But there are some teams that can compare to Uconn, depth, talent and all, with a couple of those teams right in the BE.

We will find out soon. UCONN is playing #5 Zags on the road on Dec 20th. It should be a good game. Nation will get to see Thabeet and how much the guy has improved from a year ago. I really think the main difference between UCONN and many other teams is Thabeet in the middle. The kid is just a monster. Also, guard play has improved because of Kemba Walker.

UCONN is a solid #2. THey fell into the trap where one team plays their best game and the better teams just came to get the win. Buffalo will go back to sucking and UCONN will go bak to playing like #2.
But I have to admit UCONN has no signature win on their resume so far. Thie biggest game was Miami. I think UCONN is the #1 team in the country on balance and talent but they can lose to Gonzaga and even Buffalo because they are not being polished by their soft schedule.

I think that Wisky was a good win for the Huskies, and will prove to be a signiture win for them as well. To me Uconn clearly deserves to be #2 at this point, but that does'nt mean that no other team can match up to them, there clearly are some teams that can. Gonzaga will be a nice test for them.

I'm not overly concerned about our team at this point. Buffalo athletics have been unbelievable recently.

You can't sleep walk in the Big East....UConn won't be as lucky against the Big East where you must bring the A game everynite or get drilled.

That's a given. If UCONN Play uninspired ball like they did against the Buffs, they won't win too many BE road games. The team has to bring it all the time. Guard play was not great today but they did enough to pull it through. The team is still gelling but I can see this as a very dangerous team come March. The team has depth and can play lock down D.
