When they tried that a few years ago, a few MAC West teams wound up playing 7 MAC teams and 5 OOC teams, which was awful, and only the division games counted toward the standings (not the crossovers).

The current setup where a few MAC East teams don't play each other during the season isn't ideal, and I'm not sure what the rules are if Miami and Akron somehow tied at the top. But it seems better than the other scenario.

Exactly. If all the West teams play each other, then you have East teams with only 1 crossover game and 7 MAC games total. 13 is awkward when there are only 8 conference games.

Well what are the tie-breaking rules? BG and Temple finished tied for 2nd in the east and didn't play each other, what would they do if they finished tied for 1st?

I dont believe MRO picked Temple to win a single game this year. We finished in 2nd place, Huron. The next tornado you feel is probably the slanted bluster coming out of yo mouth...

Go back and check out the weekly reports. I believe we did pick Temple on more than a couple of occassions...including last week against Eastern Michigan.

But hey, nice way to finish up the season and we'll see if that carries over to next year. I believe the Owls finished with their most wins since 1990.
