nd within 1 game rule?

nd within 1 game rule?
Didn't their used to be a rule that the be bowls could only select ND if they were within 1 game of an available BE team? Did that rule get tossed out in the latest negotiations?

Yes. That rules was reduced to "within two" when the Gator bowl signed a new contract with the BE/Big 12 in 2006. The Sun bowl (Gator alternate) never had a within clause.
