Bartow Man Donates Property to KSU
Cartersville business leader and preservationist Jodie Hill has donated 56-acres `In the Valley` former homestead of Corra Harris to Kennesaw State University. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia voted Nov. 10 to accept the donation. The land and building is valued at $2.6 million.
Hill said, `The property had been sitting there for more than 60 years. I learned that a farmer was going to buy it, tear down everything and build chicken houses, so I just bought it to save it. I didn`t know what to expect, but it was the right decision.`
Kennesaw State said that it will be using the property as a field school and it soon will be open to the public.

Looks like its up in Catersville but it sounds like place they are going to use for teaching and research

AWESOME! 2.6 Million is a ton of money, and the space is definitely needed. Even though we can't use it for classes, there are a lot of support programs, infrastructure, and research programs that we will need space for in the future.

Big get for the University.
