PITT returns 1700 or 3000 UC tix
Wow, I expected Pitt fans to be as excited about this game as The City of Cincy is. It is the biggest Sports news here by far. I am excited that more UC fans can fill the visitor seats! 1300 is not what you want to show bowl reps as your traveling attendance to a game within 4 or 5 hours. UC packed the Ville last week with more than 5000 traveling. Can Saturday come any quicker? Go Bearcats!

no exuses, but 5000+ went to navy game. Fans are excited, but it may the timing with next week backyard brawl, thanksgiving. Pitt fans (panthers, not steelers) have never traveled well to away games so I don't know why you seem surprised.

In case people missed my post earlier. but let me reiterate.

Saturday is the WPIAL finals at Heinz field. And trust me in Pittsburgh its a huge deal. To almost every kid in western PA winning the WPIAL is bigger than winning the state. I'll be at the Single A game to root on my alum Clairton when they face Monaca. Clairton features Kevin Weatherspoon which will recieve many offers this spring-summer. That may answer your question on why Pitt didn't sell out their allotment.

You mean Pitt fans aren't going apeshit over the River City Rivalry? After all, who wouldn't lust after this:

To all of us, there should be only two trophies that matter: whatever trophy is given out for a Big East title and the Sears Trophy for the BCS.

Apologies to those who recognize the Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy still. It seemed relevant until the Big East was formed.

sadly, both the BE title and BCS title are out of reach.

This thread is ridiculous...Cincy fans should hush about Pitt not traveling. It is a 300 mile trip late in the season. The only school proven to send fans in numbers to locations 300 miles away is WVU.

I don't count SU in this despite the fact we travel well to RU, UConn and USF but that is helped by alot of transplants and alumni in those areas.

BTW, Cincy sent 38 fans to Syracuse last year.

Seriously Bearcat fans, you should be the last fan-base talking attendance smack. 03-shhhh

Louisville has been only 100 miles away from you forever; this was the first time you ever brought a fan base that was noticeable. 03-melodramatic
