Another Conference Article on BB Teams
PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH:

1. Belmont; 2. East Tennessee State; 3. Jacksonville; 4. Lipscomb; 5. Mercer; 6. Stetson; 7. Campbell; 8. Kennesaw State; 9. Florida Gulf Coast; 10. USC Upstate; 11. North Florida.

TEAM BY TEAM ANALYSIS:

KENNESAW STATE - The Owls conclude their re-classifying era this year and therefore will be eligible for the A-Sun Tournament in 2009-10. KSU returns just two starters from last year's team that went 7-9 in the league, so not much is expected from Tony Ingle's club this season. Guard Kelvin McConnell, a 6-0 guard, is the team's leading returning scorer at 8.2 ppg and he will be expected to produce even more after a solid freshman campaign. Jon-Michael Nickerson is the other returning starter and the 6-6 forward will try to improve on his 5.4 ppg from a year ago. Transfer Jay Mitchell (6-9), who played for legendary head coach Bobby Knight just two years ago, should jump right into the mix and help in the rebuilding process.
