I have to give credit to UConn
They basically played like we did when our starting QB went down. Major props to the Huskies, though I'm pretty sick to my stomach at UC's turnovers, something they never do. Sickening effort across the board for UC, but pretty good effort across the board for UConn, congrats! :ncaabbs:

Update: As I post this UC with ANOTHER unforced freaking turnover to go along with UConn interceptions. Unreal.

UConn kicked UC's ass today, plain and simple.

Congrats to UConn 04-bow

I've already shut the game off. I should have after the first half. No not really, but I had a grim feeling all the blown opportunities of the first half would bite us in the a$$ 03-puke

But, it takes one team to screw around, and another to take advantage of it. You guys certainly did just that. For that reason, congrats on a well-earned win 04-bow

RE: I have to give credit to UConn
As much as I give UConn credit for this Kelly better not treat it like this with the players. Those turnovers were ridiculously stupid and even if UC played the game of their life they weren't winning this game with 6 or 7 turnovers, I have seriously lost count of the number of TOs we committed in this game.

I said all along that it was simply a matter of execution. UConn executed their offense with way fewer mistakes than UC did. The turnover margin is a key indicator of the level of execution.

Good win for the Huskies. You better be ready for next week. I know the Mountaineers will be ready. It should be a DEVINE game...

UCs coaches, especially the offensive game plan was a freaking joke.
They gave up running the ball when they had the lead in the first half.
UC still had a shot at winning this game with 6 minutes left in the game.
The coaches need a hard look in the mirror.

I think WVU wins the game next week. UC's defense played very well today, and we gave up running the ball.

Spot on...

I mean, there was a stretch where BK just passed like every fricken down....yea, note to BK..when you see three down lineman and everybody else back for pass coverage.....run the efing ball!!!!!

I almost wonder if it was his pride...kind of took a "I WILL pass the ball on UCONN" type deal?

I dont' know but man.....and then he's yelling at Anderson on the side because he was throwing into double coverage...um, yea, all the receives were doubled up because they KNEW YOU WERE GOING to pass the efing ball..

god, I'm just pissed off right now......son of a *****

That was easily one of the worst games I have seen UC play, even worse then the Pittsburgh game last year. I give credit to UConn for taking advantage of it, but Kelly and his crew better get their act together, and quick.

To all the good Cincy fans - you guys still got a great team and a great coach. Your D was still pretty nasty today. I thought your coach should have adjusted to the environment and tried to run a little more.

I have always said UCONN got a great D. Some people never gave credit to this D. They delivered. Cincy was throwing so much I think all the UCONN DBs knew where the routes were by the 4th quarter.

I don't think the environment had anything to do with this. This particular group of players have played at Oklahoma, West Virginia, Louisville, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Ohio State so the crowd environment wasn't an issue. Execution was.

When I said environment, I was talking about the wind condition. I was surprised how often UCONN threw today. I guess the OC must heard all the fans calling for his head after last week's pathetic game plan against RU.

Oh ok, my mistake. UC's running game was carving up UConn and he pulled it, so you have to ask Kelly that. What a stupid coaching decision.

Unofficial at this time, UCs running backs had 7 carries for 49 yards. This was a nip and tuck game. I just don't get that.

I'm kind of shocked with how poorly we played today, but I give UConn credit, they deserved the win. Their D-line dominated Cincy's oline.

When I saw Pike on the sidelines coming out of the half with a cast going all the way down to his wrist I knew it was over. Chazz Anderson can not run this offense.

SFHusky, good luck the rest of the way. You guys ran away with the game at the end, but overall it was a tough fought game on both sides. The smartest thing I noticed was that Darius Butler was on Goodman all day and they kept the coverage tight on that side. Goodman is a good reciever, but he has no speed, and they play press coverage on him, not allowing him to break free at all.

There is a reason why people don't throw to Darius Butler side very often. UCONN usually leave Butler on an island by himself to cover a good WR. This is also why he is one of the best CBs in the entire country.

Pike was playing with fire all day. I really am surprised he was not sacked more or INTed more. He was running and throwing all over the place. Our DLs were being held all day. I am surprised Kelly abandoned the run so early.

UCONN has a very good D people don't like to give credit for. We might bend but they usually come through when we need a stop. Even in our losses, UCONN D has not played bad.

Our OL is a lot better than people think. There is a reason why Donald Brown has those huge runs all the time.

Because UC passed every down, even on 2nd and 3.
