Hopefully UCONN's coach doesn't put the young man in harms way before he is ready.

Should be quite a game - a qb with a concussion against a qb with a broken arm.

Now that's football! 02-13-banana

Cincy 24 UConn 10

Gilyard has a huge day with Pike's return. Brown has a rough day, Frazer or whoever can't keep UC's defense honest.

UCONN 24 UC 17

Backup Cody Endres will win it for UCONN with his arm.

dunno about that. IMO Cincy's secondary is better than RU secondary you faced.

He will be on his back a lot thanks to Connor Barwin.

Except UCONN won't be missing 3 FGs this game though.

Why don't you and rest of the RU fans run along and enjoy your 2-5 season. Rest of us got a BE championship trophy we are trying to win.

hahahah....even on a UC/UCONN thread RU and UCONN go at it...love it

I really don't see UCONN winning with Endres...unless Brown rushes for 200 yards+ and Pike gets his other arm broken...

That loss really hurt you didn't it? Understandable.... I posted nothing even remotely close to a flame and you get all defensive.

RE: Cincy-UConn
Don't you guys know UltimateRUFAN here been digging at everything UCONN for awhile now? Even with an UCONN/CINCY thread he got to throw his digs in.

This will be a good tight game. I expect UCONN to put all the frustration out on Cincy. It will be a hard game. Our last home loss was to Cincy so it is pay back time. It is also homecoming. It should be a sellout crowd. Can't wait for the game.

As for RU, you guys got a beating coming this week at Pitt.

RE: Cincy-UConn
I'd keep Frazier on the bench to start the game, and only use him if absolutely neccessary. You don't want to take any chances with head injuries. I should know. I've had several. A head injury that isn't properly healed can be reinjured very easily, and that can permanently handicap a person to the point of non-functionality...

RE: Cincy-UConn
I also wonder how much Pike will be able to play.

The coaching staff has told him to not use his left arm to break his fall when getting tackled.

How is he going to do that? Instinct takes over and he most likely will do exactly that - especially if he is holding the ball with his right arm.

RE: Cincy-UConn
If he can't use the arm, it will become a handicap. Will it prevent him from being effective? Only time will tell.

I'm looking forward to seeing the game. It should be interesting with all the walking wounded... 07-coffee3

If it's Cody Endres starting and he stinks it up for a half, will Edsall put DJ in?

Damn, injuries suck. 03-banghead This is why it's hard to make preseason predictions.

UC won't lose to UConn. I just don't see it. UC is a terrible match up for UConn.
