I hope it's not a train either Tony!

He explained it to me as people wanting meat and potatoes and we're moving up from strained carrots. It's going to take some time.

"—Freshman Markeith Cummings hasn't practiced this fall while he continues to get tests on his heart. Doctors haven't released the 6-foot-7 forward from Beach High School (Savannah, Ga.), and coach Tony Ingle isn't sure if Cummings will play at all this season."

Hope everything turns out ok for Markeith. Anyone know when these problems started, or how serious they are?

I don't think Markeith knew of any problems. I think they came up during his physical exam. That is a worst case scenario for this team! If Markeith cant play then we better hope Jay Mitchell can stay healthy because he will be all we have in the post!

That sounds about right. Considering he played basketball and football in high school obviously there were no problems there. Then he also plays basketball in prep school. Hopefully he's good to go before the start of the season, but if its serious hopefully its not a career threat. The post will be thin without him. JMac will probably spend all of his time down low if Markeith can't go.

I think Markeith will end up playing, but any setbacks for a freshman with regards to practice is a bad thing. I still think he hits this court with us for our exhibition game, but it is very likely that he will start slow as a result of missing these practices. Stinks for Markeith...but it is good to know that our staff is taking every precaution before putting a kid out on the floor.
