RE: Biden's confession
Quote:"Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking," Biden said.
"Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it's gonna happen," Biden continued.
The Delaware senator's remarks were the second of their kind over the weekend. At a fundraiser in San Francisco, Biden said Obama's challengers will "find out this guy's got steel in his spine" when he is tested.
What an insult! He compared Obama to John Kennedy and said he has steel in his spine. How will the Democrats ever recover from this blunder?

yeah, but just a while back he said,
Quote:Aug. 2007 on Obama's experience: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."
Quote:Aug. 2007 on Obama's threat to go into Pakistan after Al Qaeda: "The way to deal with it is not to announce it, it's to do it. . . . The last thing you want to do is telegraph to the folks in Pakistan that we're about to violate . . . their sovereignty."
Quote:Aug. 2007 on Obama's pledge to meet with leaders of rogue nations: "Would I make a blanket commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of each of those countries within the first year I was president? Absolutely, positively no."
Quote:Sept. 2007 on Obama's Iraq plan: "My impression is he thinks that if we leave, somehow the Iraqis are going to have an epiphany. I've seen zero evidence of that."
.....but now he's SOOOO qualified, right? WTF changed? OHHHHH, I know, now he has aspirations to be VP. Now Barack is "qualified".

Well...I guess allowing those Cubans to be slaughtered at the Bay of Pigs really really showed Kennedy's "spine of steel".

What allowed Kennedy to draw a hard line during the Cuban Missile Crisis is that we had a spy inside the GRU, Oleg Penovsky, that gave US intelligence hard data on the lack of readiness of Soviet strategic delivery systems.
Had we not had that intelligence, it might have been a very different ending.

Not the wisest of things to say, but something many of us believe to be the case.
The analogy w/ Kennedy is apprapos in terms of youth and Harvard; however Obama has no clue. His lack of real knowledge and understanding is glaring. Ultimately, comparisons will be made with Jimmy Carter, not John Kennedy.

Obama better put Powell at Defense. I am scared s-less about who will be the National Security Advisor. Kerry is expected to be Secretary of State.

I'm fairly confident that Obama will handle the test as well as Jimmy Carter handled the Iran hostage crisis.

William Ayers. I've heard he's pretty good at developing bombs.

Well that will prove Biden to be correct.
But, w/ Biden and Kerry, I can see the dramatic changes that Obama promised.

Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. And now Obama's going to exile himself for four days to Hawaii to tend to his sick grandmother. That means Jawbone Joe will have the sole spotlight with Michelle. This should be fun.
