Exactly. I was including hockey to suggest it isn't merely a question of lacrosse or Title IX. It's men's scholarships - the 4th string QB, 13th guy on the bench, third-line RW, etc. - that are "stealing" or "withholding" potential lacrosse scholarships.

Title ix also has to do with the ratio of male-female students. If the student body has more females, than the sports offered should be somewhat proportionate.That may mean eliminating some mens programs and not necesarily starting womens to replace them
