I guess I missed the sarcasm in this post.

btw,
I've been attending events at Legion Field since the 1960's and have never once had my vehicle vandalized or been the victim of any type of crime.

Something isn't right when 2 southern schools have a football game in 3 nights and all both sets of fans want to talk about is basketball. The validity of our conference and more importantly, the validity of our athletic programs will be judged on how successful our football teams are. Otherwise we could just declare both schools to be like Marquette or DePaul and join the Big East ......

Sorry I couldn't resist a little old CUSA humor in the middle of all this basketball talk.

It would be nice to see 25K in Legion Field Thursday and see the Blazers and Tigers engaged in an epic battle to the end in front of national TV. Our conference and both football programs could use the positive publicity.

Nothing will happen in the parking lot, but there is a 90% chance you'll get knocked out inside the stadium...you know...because there are so many crazy UAB fans in our packed stadium. Sorry, I was going to talk smack, but when you've beaten one D-IA team in 2 seasons, it's hard to talk smack with a straight face.

Seriously, Legion Field is safer than people think. Just don't go there when a UAB game is not going on. That's when bad things happen.

My trips to UAB have always been positive in the past, with the exception of the outcome of the game. The conf. rules that says we can't win In Birmingham has expired---

I know that I'm the odd man out here, but I love going to Legion field, where some of southern football's greatest games have been played. I'd like to start another string of great games in that place Thursday night.
