I'll be following it on ESPN 360, also on ESPN + in some markets and the PPV for $21.95. We're 17-19 point under dogs, anybody know if Jarvis is back?

RE: 09-27-2008 @ Ball State
Missed a 47 yard FG, looks like a windy day there so that may be a bit out of the range on such a day. We need a better push up front, giving Davis too long to find his receivers and we're also giving the receivers too much of a buffer, yeah we're making the tackles but we're giving them the room to make the catches which makes for a dangerous combination with a QB like Davis.

Good D by Murray on 2nd down to make sure he didn't catch that ball, to let them run right through us for 6 on 3rd down. Maxwell hurt on the play, now 7-0 with 4:34 left in the 1st.

Nice to have such a quality backup at RB like Flowers. Suck to be without a weapon like Jarvis, but Flowers seems like he could start for alot of teams.

Ugghhh, 4th down on their 38 and we went for it, Edelman scrambled like the magic man he is and a diving Flowers just missed catching it. Had it been caught you'd be seeing it on ESPN all day.

Luckily for us BSU's WR 82 just dropped that bomb, he was wide open and had an easy 7...again, we have no push whatsoever and you just can't give Davis all day to pick his spots as they're out there....and there it is, wide open WR in the end zone for another 6. Forget the poor playbook on offense, did our Defensive Coordinator make the trip?

You're right, with Nate Davis the D line can't let him sit back there so long. It also doesn't look like they're sending many guys, only 3-4. Start blitzing...
WOW!! can't believe the refs just overturned a great catch. Bad call

Great 93 yard drive by the flashes.... that's the way to cap it off with a 12 yard run into the endzone by Edelman. This drive really showed how well these Flashes can be.
Now they need a stop on defense.
Ok.... now the special teams just gave up a 68 yard kick return. I hope I didn't just jinx them...

cosmic, its not you, its the team, for some reason when one unit does well one of the other follows up by giving up points or a big play. it happens all the time. you cant beat anyone like that

Ball State scores right before the half... 7-21. The special teams is at fault for that TD.

Catch looked good to me, I couldn't believe they'd waste their time to overturn such a play but then they reversed the call anyway.

Later, Ball State makes a catch very similar and they don't even take a look at it. Ridiculous!!
Bayes makes a fantastic catch in the endzone for a TD... Refs are looking at it (Looks in to me, has possession and foot/knee hits in)... And survey says.... TOUCHDOWN!! Now go for 2?? Reed hits the point after.. 14-31

Is it just me or does it seem like the refs don't really know what is going on out there??

I'm proud of our ole defense today. Ball State just moving at will. Martin was right, the season does start today. That means we can win at most 2 games the rest of the way.

Jose's brother is a heckuva quarterback. That is a good team. Ball State is right on their scoring average with 4 minutes to go. They scored 42 last week on Indiana.

I believe the early one that was overturned was a Coach's Challenge, that's why I said I was surprised he would waste his replay on such a trivial play early in the game.

RE: 09-27-2008 @ Ball State
Ball State is a great team and after this game I've become their newest fan. I'm really rooting for them to go 12-0.
As for Kent... Julian had one of his better games today. The offense did a great job with over 335 yards, only one turnover (a jump ball interception) and a few dropped passes. I can live with that TO and if they can make some of those catches they can be playing at their full potential. They're scoring 28, 24, 27 and 20 in the past 4 games. If the defense holds, that usually enough to win some games.
My only beef is with defense. You can argue that Ball State has a tremendous offense, and they do, but giving up over 40 points (48-ISU, 44-ULL, 41-BSU) does not work. Don't they say Defense wins championships???
Hopefully this week they'll work on the defense, but not let the offense slack, they'll need every bit of 20 points to beat Akron.
