RE: Kansas State @ Louisville Game Thread
TD for KSU. UofL will win this game but gees can they learn alittle "Killer Instinct" Kragthorp has to coach this team up so they learn how to knock teams out the great team know how to do it. KSU has been on the rope this entire game UofL should be winning by 4 TDs IMO.

CatsClaw Wrote:UltimateCFBfan Wrote:Am I the only one that is scared of the UL game now. If they play like this all year I'd be hard pressed to find a team in the BE maybe USF that can stop them.
As good a game as Louisville is playing I don't think they're going to run up 35 points on Big East teams each week. They have consistency problems on offense. Also, keep in mind, Kansas State is the Louisville of the Big 12. They are coming off a disappointing 5-7 team, and they're only 2-0 because they played crappy teams. That being said, every game in the Big East is a fight. As bad as Syracuse has played they won a game last year in conference so every game is dangerous.
i don't agree, they have very good team speed and a 2 headed monster at running back with bolen/anderson and cantwell will only get better as the season goes along, plus their receivers have looked good. the hopefull thing for big east teams is their special teams especially their kicking game flat out sucks, and their defense is still a bit porous and can be exploited for big plays through the air, they still have suspect tackling, but much much better than last year.

like i said, tackling is still very poor, but their offense will win some big east games for them.

UofL has dominated and won this game but displayed no "killer instinct" and shown weak special teams. I think all the big East teams have shown some weakeness there is no super team in the league this year. I think the Big East conference race is going to be a great race for the championship. I also like the fact that the Big East might go 4-1 against the mighty Big 12 when all things are said and done .

incomplete, now i can breathe a sigh of relief, louisville needs to find a killer instinct no way kansas st should've been in this game, utter domination by the louisville offense, some pathetic defensive breakdowns and missed tackles.

Congratulations UL fans, especially Cardinal Jim, who is one of very few Kragthorpe supporters of the UL posters I’ve seen. Not many of us, including me, had UL, but they were definitely impressive on both sides of the ball last night, other than a couple gaffes that kept it closer than it should have been.

Looks like The Ville is on their way back. On top of that they may have a very loyal coach who is actually a good coach. I hate to think what they may do to the Orange in the Dome.

It was the defense that really won that game. Without shutting down K State's QB, it would have been a different story...

Jose,
Thanks for the kind words. I said after the UK game that I thought our program had turned a corner. Nothing particular just the overall feeling watching the team that expectations for this year's team were too low. I thought we took another big step forward last night. If we can keep improving we might win a game or two this season. Unfortuantely we have so many so-called "fans" in Louisville that won't accept Coach Kragthorpe because he isn't Petrino. Oh well perhaps they will come around.
Thanks again.
Jim

No problem. Sometimes it’s better to open with embarrassing losses like you had to UK, because, at least it answers questions. That did you much more good than the two nobodies that K-State whooped up on.
