I'd say both my Bulls and WVU are over-rated right now. We should be about 15 or so, behind BYU, PSU, and ECU, and WVU should arguably not be in the top 25.

Why would USF be overrated, they beat the #13 team in the country. South Florida is where they deserve to be. Why should South Florida be behind BYU when BYU's best wins are against a horrible Washington team in a controversy, and UCLA? West Virginia is where they should be. UConn is about right where they probably should be.

FSU is ranked for beating 2 1aa teams? Pathetic.

Auburn should have dropped at least 4 or 5 spots after a 3-2 win over the worst team in the SEC. But as always, the media sec hardon prevails.

I also believe that Vandy should be ranked ahead of Fresno State. They're the only ones not getting the benefit of the SEC hype. How can you beat a Top 25 team and be 3-0 and not be ranked?

Just my opinion, but the Bulls weren't impressive in eeking by UCF, and we barely beat Kansas as well.

Kansas of course is a quality opponent so i'd be happy with it even if we won by 1 point in 7 overtimes, but at this stage of the season the polls are a beauty contest and my Bulls have looked good, but #15 good, not #12 good. As for WVU, there's no basis for them being top 25. They got beat badly by ECU, and beat a dreadful villanova team.

This is more like it, Buckeyes still should've dropped further, Big 10 Mediocrity, though if Pryor gets up to speed w/ the college game that changes.

In the others receiving votes, UK should not be receiving anything but a kiss from their sister.

Good to see Ball St. getting a vote, they're undefeated and a good looking team, last year as well. Don't the Bulls play them next season? And weren't some fans ragging on the Bulls for traveling to Muncie, IN? This Ball St team is no pushover.

It just nice to see a BE poster post the polls again. No one here posting them last week.

I think the Bulls are right where they should be. The writers respect the bulls, unlike the coaches. We have always been higher in the AP poll. USF definitely has a top 10 offense. Grothe is playing outstanding right now.

Polls, after all, is a beauty contest. You can say that about a ton of teams that are overrated in the polls.

Here is my list:

3. Georgia (2) 3-0 1,437
9. Alabama 3-0 982
10. Auburn 3-0 958
11. Texas Tech 3-0 904
13. Ohio State 2-1 800
17. Oregon 3-0 679
18. Wake Forest 2-0 482
22. Illinois 2-1 163
23. Clemson 2-1 160
24. Florida State 2-0 146

I believe all those teams above are overrated. Bulls should accept where they are. Hope you guys can maintain it. UCONN is underrated as far as I am concerned.

SEC is not as strong as the polls are saying. Pollsters boost them up big time but I don't think they are nearly as good as polls claim they are.

Well, sad to admit it, but the coaches turned out to be right last fall when they consistently rated USF lower than the writers did.

Grothe has shown tremendous growth the last couple years but as the Kansas and UCF games illustrate, he still tends to be quite inconsistent. He'll play a great quarter, then disappear for the next 15 minutes.

Fortunately (or maybe he's planned it this way!), he's been near his best at the end of close games.

The AP has us at 12, the coaches at 16. I think that's the biggest gap any team has in the two polls. So obviously the Bulls are generating some different perceptions among lots of observers.

I tend to agree with the coaches, but will be quite happy if the writers prove to be correct. :)

By week 5 or 6 the polls should be alot more accurate. Underrated teams are USF, Penn St, BYU. Ohio State should be in 17-20 range. I have a feeling they'll run the table and get blown out in the Rose Bowl by the Pac 10's #2 team.

Actually last week we were higher in the coaches.

The AP just tends to react more strongly to anything that happens, up or down.
