RE: Big East rankings after week 2
West Virginia is in trouble. The cupboard is not bear and they will have a winning season but only 7 and 5 tops. They will loose 2 more OOC games and only beat Marshall at that end of their OOC schedule. They will also loose at least 2 BE games. That's my take after watching the defense and their arm tackling game this weekend. Good luck except against Rutgers this year. Enjoy the season Big Easter's. 04-cheers

It looks this way right now.

For the other rankings posted in this thread, as bad as UofL looked against UK, I don't think I can put Pitt ahead of the Cards right now. Maybe even, but not ahead.

I still say trying to rank anyone before the halfway point in the season is ludicrous... 01-wingedeagle

Pitt can to they beat a good Bufalo0 team that had a lot of uknown canuc players on it they could be good.
Temple is much better than last year and with their coach will be a top Mac team every year.....

The Cuse might fgo 0-12 sadddddddddddd. We should beat virginia at home, UNC on the road will be tough....

Care to revise this yet?

Keep in mind this season that the Big East is so bad that like the old cliche says anyone can beat anyone in any given weak.

USF deserves to be #1 right now because they are undefeated, barely. (After tonight we will find out of the Big East has at least one good team this season.)

WVU is a clear #2. They went into Greenville and ran into a buzz saw. The Pirates are probably the hottest team in college football right now.

UC went to Norman and got thumped but hey somebody has to be #3

UCONN is #4 at this point by default. They haven't played anyone yet. We still don't know how bad the Huskies are this season.

UofL lost to a SEC team at home that hasn't given up a touchdown this season. For some reason you rank RU, that lost to a WAC school at home and Pitt that lost to a MAC school at home ahead of the Cards. You have some serious Louisville hate going on. UofL is a clear #5.

Pitt is #6 they are .500 against the MAC so far this season. That's good for #6 in the Big East at this point.

RU is #7. Earlier this week I would have had them tied for 6th. After last night this might be too high. Better chop some wood in Jersey.

SU is #8 No signs of life yet on Planet Orange. We'll keep looking.

I'm going to wait for conference play to start before I think about any rankings...
