MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia men's basketball Coach Bob Huggins announced Monday center Roscoe Davis will not enroll at WVU and instead plans to play at a prep school this year.

Davis, a 6-foot-10 native of Marlboro, Md., did not qualify academically. He played this past season at Hargrave Military Academy, in Chatham, Va. Hargrave won the prep school nation championship with a 29-0 record.

Davis signed a National Letter-of-Intent with WVU in November. Fellow recruits Darryl Bryant, Kevin Jones and Devin Ebanks enolled in classes in July. Davis could qualify and play for WVU next season or his letter-of-intent could come off the books and Huggins could use it toward the 2009 recruiting class.

Huggs would have probably liked to have had his size in the post.

I'm sure he would have. But we did okay last year without a big man. The Mountaineers have a little more talent this season too...

Judging by the recruiting rankings a lot of Big East teams are going to be more talented this season.
