A 60 in the Memphis Publinx
Ed Mcdugle golf coach at White Station High shot a 60 at Galloway in the final round of the Publinx saturday. He needed it too because it gave him a 1 shot victory over Rick Robbins, son of legendary Memphis golf Hillman Robbins. 04-jawdrop Yeah I know it is Galloway but a 60 is a 60!!!!!

A 60 is a 60 no matter where you play. Heck I would love to shoot par at Galloway or any public course.

I work with Rick and I know Ed (my wife's an admin at WSHS and he lives behind me). Play golf with both. Rick has been playing his ball really well the last couple of years and for Ed to shoot that 60 and beat him is unbelievable. I just wish I had half the golf game of either of them.

I know where you live, now. muhahahahahaha :billgates:

Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy....who am I kidding? It could of happened to a lot of guys that are a lot nicer. Still it is quite a round of golf and a great win in the Publix (his second). Congrats Ed.

I know you're not him, (you're me or I'm you according to mairving) but you obviously know him.

The paper said that one of the contenders (Rick?) broke his driver and three wood in anger during the final round. They penalize high school players for saying bad words in anger on the course. That kind of behavior shouldn't be allowed in any tournament.

All 18 of 'em, the par is 72. He was 12 under. He eagled number 9, if you don't know the hole it is a par 5 with water in front of and around most of the green. It almost requires that you layup and go for the green with your third shot. I've seen him put it on that green in two shots on two separate occasions. He even did it in this tournament then made his putt, which is remarkable. The course plays 6600 yards from the tips so it is really short, but still.

Ed is a notoriously inconsistent putter, but he had them falling at the right time. Coach Mc is usually the first person to register to play in the US Open every year. He's sitting at his computer and registers the moment that he can. Just like most of us do when we are trying to get the best seats at a concert.

My golfing buddies got together and cheered.

It wasn't Rick that broke his clubs. It was Steve Ray. He got blood on Rick's shirt. I know Rick wasn't too happy about that and that guy's attitude.

That was Steve Ray that broke the driver. He basically snapped it in two and the splinters went into his hand and he bled all over Rick. Rick even had to send to the clubhouse to get another shirt. 03-lmfao He then broke his 3 wood on 15 and I started calling him "tin cup" and told him he should play in with a 7 iron

Sounds like you were having fun! That's one of the great things about golf, you can torture your buddies when they are having a bad day.

Were they playing in foursomes or twosomes? I'm surprised that Ed kept it going if he was playing with him.
